Payment card with optical transfer: Imago

Since Le Web 12, LiFi is buzzing. Optical data transfer is also now in a plastic card, via Imago :
"The Technology
The phone-to-card communication technology inside Imago uses secure optical communication and was designed to work with a wide range of smartphones. It doesn’t require NFC, Bluetooth, a special phone case, or unique connectors. Simply lay your card face down on the screen of your phone, press the ‘Sync’ button in the wallet app, and that’s it! The ImagoCard directly reads encrypted transmissions from the screen using optical sensors."

It's not the first time that a plastic card can have multiple card numbers (PAN), Dynamics ePlate was the pioneer.
